Carmela Tedesco

Carmela leads the underwriting services for LOGiQ³ and oversees its training of new underwriters, surge resources for production underwriting, underwriting auditing, process and best practice reviews. She has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry at both the reinsurance and direct insurance level for both the North American and European markets.

Prior to LOGiQ³, Carmela served as Chief Underwriter for the European Markets for a major international Reinsurer where she was responsible for establishing underwriting standards, researching market trends, mortality risk assessment, workflow process review and implementation, auditing and was instrumental in product and market development for Life, Critical Illness and Group products.

Carmela previously held the position of Manager of Underwriting and New Business for the second largest life insurer in Canada. In her leadership role, Carmela was responsible for the development, implementation and review of workflow processes, productivity, quality control through internal and reinsurance audits, staff development, training programs, reinsurance negotiations, establishing and monitoring service standards and cost control. One of her major accomplishments included developing and implementing an efficient underwriting process meeting all published service standards.
