Who is the Underwriting Training Program most suitable for?

From start to finish, the LOGiQ3 Underwriting Training Program is suitable for individuals hoping to pursue a career in life underwriting. Our courses start with covering the fundamentals of life underwriting such as proper file documentation and medical terminology, and progress into more advanced topics that assess the risk for specific medical impairments.

However, our program is also suitable for individuals with existing underwriting knowledge that are looking to brush up on certain topics or advance their career. Is this program only available online? What if I want to request for in-person training?

“Off the shelf”, the program is offered 100% online. However, LOGiQ3 offers customized training plans that can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Does your program only cover Life Underwriting or is it applicable to other products (DI = Disability Insurance, CI = Critical Illness Insurance, LTC, = Long Term Care Insurance)?

The technical medical content of our program is applicable to any type of Underwriting. However, when we speak about the application of medical information and impairments to underwriting decisions, we talk about it from a mortality (life insurance) perspective, not a morbidity (DI, CI, LTC) perspective. With that said, if you have morbidity focused content and training materials and like our delivery format, we have a team of instructional designers who could take your content and turn it into a course.

How does your underwriting training differ from what LOMA has available?

Our program is endorsed by LOMA and is available through them as well. LOMA’s content deals with a lot of the theory and organizational impact of Underwriting and Risk Assessment, and is very valuable in that regard in studying for Underwriting designations. In contrast, our program is heavy on technical medical information and how it applies to life underwriting. It also covers important fundamentals such as proper file documentation and the practical application of how impairments affect life mortality experience.

What manual do you use for the risk assessment and underwriting portion?

Our course material was designed to be agnostic to any specific manual or philosophy and focuses solely on the technical medical information on each impairment.

Can we use our own cases or applications for the APPLY section of your Learning Model?

Yes, absolutely. Our program is customizable and we can utilize your own cases or even your own manual/philosophy when marking the cases to keep the coaching and feedback relevant to what your underwriters will be doing every day.

How often do you update your course content? There are constantly advancements in medicine that impact underwriting, how do you stay up to date?

We are constantly developing new courses and improving the existing courses we have in our library. Our most recent update and refresh of our content was done this year.

What kind of insight do I (as a manager/leader) have into how my students are progressing?

We have customizable management reporting you can receive that provides insights into metrics like overall student progress, time spent in the courses and achieved grades.

I don’t have any new underwriters and don’t plan on onboarding any in the near future. All of my team is relatively experienced, is this program suitable for them?

Absolutely! While our courses are great for onboarding brand new underwriters, it is also suitable for experienced underwriters who need some continuing education or need to brush up on their content. If you’re unsure what courses are best for experienced underwriters, we have an ASSESS Diagnostic Tool that measures an underwriter’s proficiency across all of the impairments covered in our program and highlights any area where additional training may be beneficial.

How quickly can a student complete your courses/program?

How long a student takes varies depending on their learning style and how much time each day they are able to dedicate to their studies. Logiq3 runs their own underwriters through the program and have seen it completed in as little as 4 weeks, but when combined with other internal training, it typically takes around 2-3 months.

Payment and Purchase FAQs


How much does the program cost?

We offer a range of pricing options which vary depending on your needs. The full E-learning program that includes all 29 courses (consisting of both LEARN and CHECK) is $2,300 USD.

Individual courses can be purchased for a customized program at $100 USD a course.

How do I make a purchase online?

Making a purchase is simple! Proceed to our E-Store, select the course(s) and corresponding level you’d like to gain access to, and proceed to check out!

How long do I have access to my user account for?

Your access for each course will expire in 12 months from the time it was added to your user account. If you require more time, please contact us at elearning@logiq3.com.

What forms of payment do you receive?

We accept American Express, VISA, and MasterCard via our E-Store. If you are not able to make an online payment, and would like to be invoiced manually, please contact us at elearning@logiq3.com and a member of our team will assist you.

Do I have to take the full program or may I purchase one course at a time?

You are absolutely able to purchase one course at a time. A customized program can be created to suit your needs.

I’ve made a purchase online, what should I expect next?

Once your order has been placed and payment has been successfully processed, you will receive an order notification via email. A member of our team will reach out to you within one business day to verify user information.

Once verification is received, your user account(s) will be set up and a welcome email will be sent directly to the user with information on how to log into our Learning Management System (LMS).

Where do I access my courses?

LOGIQ3 offers its courses through our Learning Solutions Portal. You will receive a login, and you will be able to access all your courses.

Which web browser should I be using?

Our courses are most compatible with Chrome and Mozilla.

Do I need to be connected to the internet to view my courses?

Yes, you need an internet connection to access the Learning Solutions Portal.

Can I view the content using my phone or tablet?

Yes! Our courses are compatible with multiple devices.

Examination and Testing FAQs


What are Knowledge Quizzes and do they contribute to my overall passing grade?

Knowledge Quizzes are questions that assist a user in understanding the lectures and topics. These do not contribute to the passing grade, and are instead meant to be used as a learning tool.

How long can I expect to wait for my APPLY results?

We try to get you your results within 2 business days. If you have not received them within 2 business days, and would like to inquire why, contact us at ELearning@Logiq3.com

What happens if I exceed the number of attempts and still haven’t received a passing grade?
